HIMM third mission in Ihiagwa April 2004 In April 2004, Horizon International Medical Missions (HIMM) went on its 3rd Medical Mission to Ihiagwa, Imo State, Nigeria. An eight person team of medical professionals from the United States stormed the Owerri-West Local Government Area to provide free medical services to the people of Ihiagwa, Obinze and Umuoye. This team included Dr. Shawn Franklin, a professor of medicine in United States, who made sacrifices to come to the town of Ihiagwa where her former student in Family Medicine, Dr. Kennedy Okere, comes from. The team also included HIMM’s Evangelical ministers who worked with the local churches and Obinze Baptist Theological College in reaching souls. “For healing is of the body and soul”, says Dr. Kennedy Okere.
